Another winter fashion craft for kids involves cutting up a sweat shirt. Cut the cuffs from the shirt then cut the neckline out. Cut across the shirt so that, not only do you remove the lower binding, but you also make the shirt much shorter. Cut straight down the front center of the shirt to make it easy to slip on. Now use a sewing machine or even fabric glue to attach lace around the cuffs of the shirt and down the front slit. Go around the neck with the trim and back down the opposite side of the slit. Add the chosen trim around the bottom as well. The old sweatshirt is now a comfy sweater-type piece that will keep kids warm on a cool day.

If you're like me, you adopted the mindset of your parents (we're not blaming our parents, because they got it from their mothers and fathers!) and the institutions of education and faith that supported a fear-based and shame-based mindset. To control large groups of people, leading by shame and fear is absolutely necessary. It's so much a part of our society that most of us have some serious unlearning to do!

Few things in life are as soothing as a nice bubble bath. Surround yourself with some candles and some calming music as you soak your troubles away. Do not run the water too hot for these baths as the heat could cause your baby distress. Do not hesitate to take more than one bubble bath in a day if your day is stressful.

In this scrapBook, collect memories of the graduate growing up. Ask friends and relatives for pictures, funny stories, fond memories, ticket stubs and other trinkets. Perhaps some family members or friends could create a couple pages in the book. Make sure to not only include memories from infancy and toddler hood, but also more recent memories with current friends. Take pictures of parks the graduate has played in, schools the graduate attended, places of employment, favorite hangouts, anything you can think of. Someday when that park has been turned into a parking lot or a favorite pizza place becomes a Starbucks, the lucky graduate will have a Book full of those fond memories.

Type each poem or story on its own page. Use different font styles, colors, and sizes for each page. For example, if there is a poem about Halloween, find an appropriate font that reminds you of that holiday. Use black and orange colors for the font.

Things are easier to remember if they have a special meaning to you. Think about why you need to memorize the information. For example, if you are going shopping, ask your self why. It could be for your childs birthday, and thinking about that will help you remember what you need to buy.
