NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase from 2019 seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. Canada is poised to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international visitors in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they have been immunized. The country has already hosted over 600,000.
