NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from America. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a four percent increase over the year before, while 71,000 American tourists were in Israel during August 2022.



Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness the growth in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking figures for 2019 he stated. "The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourist numbers each month. We're thrilled to witness this positive change and expect a continued increase in the coming months and years to come."

Canada is also on track, just as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022, Canada had 7,200 visitors while August was a record 6,000.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that "it's amazing to see the way that tourism in Canada is booming." We are still not far away from our record numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this surge in Israel travel will continue to increase as Canadians find it easier to travel internationally."
