NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner. "It is exciting to see a new rise in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of the year 2019," he stated. "The United States has been our largest source of tourism for Israel inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak we had been celebrating record-breaking numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month.
Canada is also on track, like the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada received 7,200 visitors and August was a record 6,600.
