Screencastify And Minecraft Are Now Available
Students will be able to login to Minecraft: Education Edition with their AISD email address. (Students will find this information in the AISD Portal's User Profile menu.) After logging in to an AISD email account students will be asked for their student ID number and password in an AISD Portal popup window. This will occur regardless of the device used by the student.

Instructions for Installing on Austin ISD Student Chromebooks
Austin ISD Chromebooks capable of running the Android version of Minecraft: Education Edition will require you to access the Minecraft installation page on the Google Play Store. Student Chromebooks should find the Google Play icon in the Chromebook Shelf at the bottom of the screen.
Only district approved apps can be downloaded from the Google Play store app. Click on the Minecraft Install button on Google Play.

Instructions for Installing on Non-Austin ISD Windows Computers
Click the purple Windows button to download Minecraft Education Edition Windows Desktop Edition. You'll need to locate the downloaded file and then open it. It should be found in either an additional tab at the bottom of your browser or within the Windows Downloads directory.
The Windows operating system will guide you through the installation process. Choose your language and accept the End-User Licence Agreement. Continue to click Next until are required to click the Install button. It is possible that the installation will take several minutes before you can see the Finish button. This will end the installation.
Instructions for Installing on Macintosh Computers
Click the purple MAC button to download Minecraft Education Edition for Macintosh. You'll need to find the downloaded file, then open it. It should be in either the Downloads folder or a new tab at the bottom.
The Macintosh operating system will walk you through the process of installing. Select your language and accept the End-User License Agreement. Instructions for installing on iPads
Students can use Minecraft on an Austin ISD student iPad once their teacher has installed Minecraft Education Edition app on their AISD iPad. Find the app within the Creator Apps group on the iPad during the school day.
Download Minecraft on your iPad from the iTunes Store. The app is available as a free download. The button below will show you the app in the iTunes store.
Installing the Screencastify Screencastify Capture Extension
A great way to demonstrate learning is to capture live demonstrations of that learning via video. Screen-capturing video is a fantastic way for teachers to present an online demonstration activity or for students to capture an electronic product using their recorded voice, which describes the product.
Screencastify is an Austin ISD approved Chrome extension and students and staff have the ability to add the extension themselves from the Chrome Web Store.

Austin ISD students have access to the Austin Independent School District Chrome Web Store from which any approved app can be downloaded. Cracked Minecraft Servers This is the only way you can install the Chrome extension or Chrome app on an Austin ISD Chromebook. On the Chromebook, open the Chrome launcher, search and open the Chrome Web Store app. To access the approved app list, click on the Austin Independent School District link. This page will help you find Screencastify and install it.

Capture Your Video
All students are able to make videos of up to 5 minutes in length once the Screencastify extension is installed. Do a group practice before you start recording. Remember, the presentation video must be less than 2 minutes in length. The video below illustrates what it will look like when capturing the world's video.
Optional: Edit Your Video
You can be as imaginative as you want when you are creating your world, or recording your video. Some students may wish to make changes to the Screencastify video. Your AISD account includes a basic video editor. Screencastify's Support page gives more information about editing videos.
