Seven amazing Minecraft creations by Joe Miller Technology reporter



Many of us will recall being first introduced to Minecraft by Microsoft when it announced it would pay $2.5bn (PS1.5bn) for the company that developed the most-popular video game.



For many years, a dedicated community has been working on intricate cyberspace wonders in Minecraft for a long time.



Here are seven of the top:



Game of Thrones



Mapmakers WesterosCraft is on a mission: to recreate the world George RR Martin created in the Game of Thrones books. The goal is to create an environment for role-playing in the fantasy world.



A working 16-bit computer



A Minecraft gamer who goes by the username ohmganesha built a functioning 16-bit computer in only two weeks. The virtual machine includes 32 bytes of RAM (random-access memory) and an ROM of 256 bytes (read-only memory).



This Cathedral



Patrix the architect of the structure claimed that it took him only a few nights to build. He added that he had never been to a cathedral in real life. Bankadda



A hard drive that is functional



Cody Littley's drive can store just a single kilobyte information, which could seem unimpressive when compared with normal discs, until you consider that Mr. Littley is a computer science PhD student in Texas built it piece-by piece.



An entire city



The Aurora City Project artists admit that the project may never be finished. However, the intricate cityscapes show why. Here are a few photos.



All of Denmark



The Danish government's attempt to get the entire country mapped on Minecraft was initiated to educate children. The project was later vandalized and a portion of the landscape were destroyed with virtual "dynamite".
