The holophone is almost here! Amazon has signed an agreement with AT&T to compete with Apple and Google using a revolutionary 3D handset

Amazon was today finishing up its first phone. It will be announced by Jeff Bezos within hours.



It is believed the device will make use of retina-tracking technology that makes images on the display appear to float over the screen' like holograms and appear three-dimensional at all angles.'



It is believed the handset will be initially offered in the US only by AT&T in a deal that echoes the launch of the original iPhone.



The much-rumoured holophone from Amazon is scheduled to be revealed on June 18. On Wednesday, Amazon released a teaser trailer that showcases people's reactions towards the device. AT&T's competitors have been infuriated by the report of a deal.



Seattle based T-Mobile's chief executive, John Legere, tweeted, 'Really, @Amazon? What happened to home-town pride?



Before, images of the phone have been leaked on the internet.



It's been in the process of development since 2009 at Lab126, Amazon's secretive Silicon Valley hardware division.



According to Business Week, more than 1,600 people have claimed Lab126 on the professional networking site LinkedIn as their employer.



The latest images also show a thin handset that looks very much like Apple's iPhone.



BGR stated that multiple trusted sources have confirmed the authenticity of the image. GAME SERVERS The image was created by Amazon graphic designers for internal use.



The handset is said to borrow design cues from Apple's iPhone 5 and Google's Nexus handset.



As you can see in this image released exclusively by BGR the phone from Amazon will have a design which is similar to full-touch smartphones currently available as reported by BGR.

"In fact it appears that it is taking design cues from several smartphones , including Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S line. The HTC One has a polished and chamfered design that is similar to the one on Amazon's phone.



The handset is expected to have a 4.7 inch display with HD resolution of 720p, it will have a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, and six individual camera module to create the 3D effect.



It will run a custom version of Google's Android OS similar to that is found on Amazon's Kindle Fire tablets.
